As a Strategist with Jack Health, Boston, you’ll be a leader in our creative-idea-generating, strategic-thinking, problem-solving community.  You bring fluency in the healthcare category, make our teams smarter about our key audiences, help to drive our business, and you’ll be actively in the work. This hybrid role will allow you to work across multiple disciplines: Strategy, account and new business to provide best in class service to clients.

Who you are: 

  • Comfortable and confident in the healthcare category; excited by exposure to related industries (ie health tech, nutrition, consumer wellness)  
  • A strategist who is equally comfortable with work that is for internal and external audiences, with a good working knowledge of integrated communications for both. 
  • Of equal importance, knows the experiential space (specific to healthcare) and can guide our team on how best to engage audiences (compliant to regulations) in these settings: Medical Meetings, Congresses, Exhibits, POAs, Investigator Meetings, Launch Meetings, Sales Training, Brand Acts, Sales Meetings. 
  • Flexible and open to working across disciplines in Accounts, Strategy and New Business  
  • Can synthesize and simplify therapeutic content to brief and guide creative teams 
  • Likes unearthing data to inform insights and direction; is comfortable with qual & quant data and analysis, and with developing measurement platforms to track client successes  
  • Will enlist JH strategy leadership to best identify and leverage quantitative and / or qualitative research to articulate the “why’ to clients in a compelling and engaging manner 
  • Act as lead strategist on projects, accounts, and new business -- or partner to support 
  • Able to define how to identify our clients’ problems in a strategic manner via research, valuation and business case development, organizational design, or process optimization  
  • A collaborator, who ideates with others; a master of “yes, and…”, and makes others better 

Focused outputs 

  • Collect, read, analyze, interpret and synthesize information from a variety of sources and develop strategic insights and points of view. 
  • Deliver assigned strategy deliverables (i.e. presentations, research reports, creative briefs, point of view documents, measurement reports, thought leadership etc.) and assist more senior strategists on complex client assignments (including new business pitches). 
  • Actively increase expertise in the following areas: digital, social media, CRM, mobile, technology, user experience, search, media planning/buying and measurement/analytics." 


If you can do all that, you have what it takes. It might also help if… 

  • At least 4 years into your creative career at an agency that plays in the brand experience space, and your client mix has been predominantly in healthcare  
  • Proven track record solving problems and delivering creatively strategic, insightful solutions for a variety of clients 
  • As brilliant at working alone (self-motivated) as you are as part of a team (the motivator) 
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including presentation expertise 
  • A believer in collaboration, in seeing the work through, and making others shine 
  • Confident in negotiating with external parties, such as influencers and media partners in order to create successful collaborations on behalf of the client 
  • Contribute to thought leadership and help gain visibility for Jack Health at conferences — including as a speaker when opportunities arise. 
  • Identify organic growth opportunities within existing business and new revenue streams. Be comfortable nurturing relationships with clients, improving their experience with JH. 
  • Build and maintain effective client relationships, ensuring that all client needs are heard, understood and addressed in a satisfactory way.
