Senior Strategist

This is an exciting opportunity to join the team in London and take the lead on strategy in our growing Jack Health business. We are looking for a senior creative strategist with 5+ years’ agency experience in a similar role. We’re also looking for someone who has worked on brand experience projects or campaigns (live events and/or experiential activations).

The successful candidate will play a critical role on this business, working closely with our EMEA Director of Jack Health, helping to identify and develop opportunities with pharmaceutical, healthcare, wellness and health tech brands; creating the strategic foundations for a broad portfolio of events and experiences.

You would work as an integrated member of the team, collaborating closely with colleagues in client service, creative and production. This would include conducting your own research, analysing client briefing materials, defining objectives and KPIs, briefing creative teams and presenting to clients. Your ability to persuade both internal stakeholders and clients will be driven not only by the quality of your thinking but also your ability to write and present compelling narratives.

Working on accounts and new business opportunities within Jack Health will be the main focus of your time, though there will also be opportunities to work with other clients and on other projects within the agency, including pitches.

Please note that we are not necessarily looking for dedicated pharma experience. Indeed, the strength of our Jack Health offer is built on the fact that we can harness a broad range of experiences from outside of pharma in order to develop innovative creative solutions for our clients.

We are currently operating a flexible hybrid working model, with employees spending part of their week in our Chiswick office in order to facilitate closer collaboration amongst teams.

Responsibilities

Strategic thinking

  • Staying on top of the latest marketing trends and thinking
  • Desk research and analysis of client materials
  • Defining objectives, KPIs and measurement frameworks
  • Analysis of event data to provide guidance on how experiences can be optimised

Creative strategy

  • Understanding target audiences and formulating insights
  • Writing creative briefs and inspiring the creative team
  • Working alongside the creative team to shape ideas and user journeys
  • Considering the balance of in-person and digital experiences, across a range of channels

Client relationships

  • Interrogating client briefs and content
  • Designing and articulating strategic processes
  • Leading workshops
  • Making strategic recommendations
  • Sharing thought leadership with clients and wider audiences
  • Presenting creative strategies and ideas
  • Interpreting and reporting results

Qualifications 

  • 5+ years in a strategic role at an agency, working in brand experience. Digital and analytics experience is a plus. 
  • Experience leading day-to-day strategy on key accounts, acting as a true partner to clients. 
  • Experienced and resourceful when it comes to conducting research, getting under the skin of a client brief and formulating robust strategic thinking. 
  • Strong verbal presentation and storytelling skills, superior writing skills and excellent interpersonal relationship building skills. Presentation building / design skills are a plus. 

 About you 

  • It goes without saying that you have an innate curiosity and are passionate about creativity being underpinned by rigorous strategic thinking. 
  • You have a keen interest in brands, marketing and, of course, brand experience.
  • You have a confident approach and positive outlook, remaining calm under pressure. 
  • You are comfortable with responsibility, managing others and interacting with colleagues at all levels. 
  • You are organised, good at completing tasks and pay attention to the detail, with excellent communication skills.
