HSBC Life has partnered with Jack Morton, the global brand experience agency, to launch the HSBC Life “Badminton Experience Tour” – a series of interactive badminton-themed activities to support the Hong Kong community to live a healthy lifestyle. The tour will run from July to November across six locations in Hong Kong including Mong Kok, Lok Fu, Sau Mau Ping, Tin Shui Wai and more.
With a vision to promote health and wellness in the community, HSBC Life has launched its “Badminton Experience Tour” with the theme “Behind every racquet is a sincere promise”.
The tour is designed to showcase HSBC Life as a partner to help the Hong Kong community fulfil their life promises and to promote badminton as a key sport for the Hong Kong community to achieve an active and healthy lifestyle. To connect badminton to the Hong Kong community, a series of engaging activities have been created that allow fans to experience the fun in badminton and the opportunity to meet some of the world’s top professional badminton players.
The tour kicked off at Mong Kok on July 11th, with the appearance of Viktor Axelsen, who is currently ranked World Number Three and the 2017 BWF World Championships men’s singles champion; and Cheung Ngan-Yi, the highest world ranking women’s singles badminton player in Hong Kong.
The experience on the tour includes three zones, each designed to engage HSBC Life with the Hong Kong community, including the Shuttle Speed Challenge, Racquet Makeover and the Drop Shot Challenge. The Shuttle Speed Challenge allows participants to test their smash speed with specially-created racquets, equipped with speed sensors to capture speed scores. These scores will be posted on the leaderboard at each roadshow, with rewards for the final top five players in November. In addition to the Shuttle Speed Challenge, fans have the opportunity to design their own badminton racquet at the Racquet Makeover station and test their badminton aiming skills at the Drop Shot Challenge station. At any time during the experience, fans can enjoy fresh popcorn and the chance to win prizes at the claw machine.
Natalie Ackerman, EVP of Greater China at Jack Morton Worldwide said, “We’re thrilled to partner with HSBC Life this year to bring the Badminton Experience Tour to life, with an activation platform that will brighten up and engage Hong Kong communities. It’s a great opportunity to encourage active lifestyles and healthier living.”
