As the Client Services Director, you are a key leader in our creative-idea, strategic-thinking, problem-solving community of experience designers and producers.  You’ll lead our team of client services folks, helping to drive our business with purpose and dignity, jump in to challenging client situations, and help lead this amazing group of people.

You’ll be across our portfolio of work, coaching and mentoring a strong team of Account leaders.  You’ll also be in the work, an active leader winning new business pitches, and setting up teams to deliver on sold work.  You’ll be actively in the work at times, and an active executive sponsor able to troubleshoot, support, and help solve sticky situations so we continue to deliver.

What you’ll be doing

Great work

  • Responsible for all account services within the West Coast office
  • Articulate goals, objective, strategies and tactics to internal teams and clients, and interact with executive-level clients as strategic advisor to make recommendations
  • Develop solutions that leverage agency offering and are mutually beneficial for the client and the agency
  • Understand clients’ business and business issues and serve as a trusted advisor to drive effective solutions
  • Build and maintain effective client relationships, ensuring that all client needs are listened to, understood, and addressed in a satisfactory way
  • Be a champion of extraordinary work – by providing inspiration, leadership, and expertise in the agency’s offerings
  • Exceed expectations with the overall quality of the work (ideas and impact), yielding recognition from the industry, award shows and our clients 

Grow business

  • Oversee new business from a high level- both organic and new-new
  • Drive account planning process and support office growth priorities
  • Act as subject matter expert on best practices bringing to bear significant experience and insight daily
  • Ensure team partners with Brand Marketing to develop Award submissions and Case Studies
  • Generate or contribute to content leading to recognition as agency and industry thought leaders, including case studies, blog posts, white papers and speaking engagements

Grow people

  • Mentor senior Account employees within the agency
  • Oversee staffing and organizational structure within discipline
  • Lead integration of team with other disciplines
  • Partner with senior leaders across agency to champion cross-collaboration
  • Proactively identify and recruit top talent within the industry

This is not your first rodeo. You’re a seasoned account leader, who knows the experiential space and can navigate conferences and consumer activations. You’re collaborative, supportive, and help cross-functional teams thrive. But you’re also not afraid of challenges, willing and able to jump in to find the solve and turn a frustration into an accelerator.  You love this stuff and want to join a team that takes care of each other, does amazing bloody work, and has fun doing it.

  • At least 12 years into your account leadership career at an agency that plays in the brand experience space
  • A proven track record of navigating large, complicated programs and personalities
  • Demonstrated talent at mentoring, managing, and leading individuals and teams
  • Exceptional written and verbal communicator, as good with the technical team as you are with the CMO
  • A believer in collaboration, in seeing the work through, and making others shine
  • Someone who embodies Jack Morton’s values of Passion, Agility, Respect, and Inclusion
