You are a passionate and thoughtful Sr. Account Executive for our creative-idea-generating, strategic-thinking, client-problem-solving community, giving a voice for our client’s business, marketing, and overall presence. You will help the agency evangelize Jack Morton to our clients at a personal level through the quality of your thinking, presentation skills, relationship-building abilities, and passion for their brands/products and our business/vision/POV.

What you’ll be doing

Great Work

Project and Account Management

  • You understand clients’ business and business issues and serve as a trusted advisor to drive extraordinary solutions
  • Collaborate with your team to ensure that the work solves our clients’ needs
  • Manage assigned programs while collaborating with Production and Creative leadership
  • Support Account leadership by managing multiple projects with excellence as a key member of the Account team
  • Ensure project/program is delivered on-time, on-budget and flawlessly
  • Manage project process from planning to creative to execution
  • Ensure regular team meetings and manage communications between team members, ensuring all deadlines are met
  • Participate in creative brainstorms to help generate ideas for clients
  • Be a champion of extraordinary work – by providing inspiration and expertise in the agency’s offerings 

Grow Business

Business Development Support

  • Support Account leadership to grow client revenue and build positive, long-term relationships
  • Work closely with Account leadership to identify and respond to new business opportunities through internal process: qualifying opportunities, lead/oversee pitch process, and own deliverables (RFP or pitch deck)
  • Participate in the development of solutions that leverage agency offerings and are mutually beneficial for the client and the agency
  • Build and maintain effective client relationships, ensuring that all client’s needs are heard, understood and addressed in a timely way
  • Ensure clear communication to the client regarding roles and responsibilities, scope, budget, schedules and project status/ action items
  • Ensure that the client need is solved by the project deliverables
  • Ensure that a measurement metric is in place
  • Work with Account team to oversee the development and delivery of client proposals
  • Read relevant news and trade publications to identify market trends, competitive activity, and potential client opportunities
  • Identify internal partnership opportunities within Jack, CMG or IPG network and manage partner deliverables
  • Because we all love to see how we’re doing, you’ll partner with Brand Marketing to develop Award submissions and Case Studies

Grow your team

  • Assist/lead internal project kick-off meetings communicating the assignment, background, strategy, objectives, deliverables and timing
  • Work with the strategy team to translate client briefing documents into creative briefs
  • Work with strategy and creative partners to ensure all creative content and agency solutions successfully respond to client’s needs and are aligned with brand standards and guidelines
  • Act as point of contact for client and internal teams to field general questions
  • Build relationships with junior-level clients
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the value of creating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive work environment. Actively support and engage in creating and sustaining a workplace that fosters creativity and innovation.

If you can do all that, you have what it takes. It might help if…

  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Passion for brands and for brand experiences
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines is necessary
  • Maintains composure under pressure and is comfortable juggling different priorities
  • Strong project management, organizational and communication skills required
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment with diverse perspectives
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (e.g. Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Creative agency experience in client services/account management preferred
  • Quick serve restaurant experience and consumer brand work a plus
  • Nice to have: PR experience
