You are an Associate Creative Director to join our growing New York team. As an ACD, you’ll be accountable for generating big, brave, bold creative ideas and helping direct how those ideas come to life. You’ll report directly to the Executive Creative Director of the New York office. We are open to candidates with a background in art direction or copywriting.

What you'll be doing

  • Generating big creative ideas to address clients’ business needs that are rooted in fresh brand, product and audience insights.
  • Directing the expression of those ideas across all experience media – promotions, consumer, retail, live events, digital, social, mobile, environmental.
  • Participating in the development of the creative brief and partnering with the strategy team to ensure the work delivers on the brief.
  • Delivering ideas that win and generate revenue.
  • Presenting your ideas in a compelling way to internal audiences and clients.
  • Helping to build the agency's reputation, profile and relationships with talent and clients.
  • Collaborating across the office’s and worldwide agency’s community of creative, strategy, growth and operations colleagues to share ideas, resources and best practices.
  • Managing, mentoring, coaching junior creatives and fiercely protecting the agency culture that makes Jack a great place to work.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the value of creating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive work environment; actively support and engage in creating and sustaining a workplace that fosters creativity and innovation.

Core Responsibilities 

  • Responsible for working on and overseeing dedicated projects for healthcare client
  • Work alongside with Copy partner and lead Creative Director to support the vision of projects and effectively communicate that vision to colleagues and clients
  • Brainstorm, concept and collaborate with creative teammates
  • 60% leading, ideating and directing an awesome team, and 40% Art Direction, doing, and making –hands-on
  • Works with the Strategist, Art Directors, Designers, Copywriters and Account team members to ensure the delivery of superior creative solutions
  • Understand the clients’ organization and business objectives and how those objectives relate to the target audience to assist in generating relevant creative ideas 

What you bring

  • 5+ years of experience in advertising and healthcare, passion for the pharma/health space 
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field 
  • Superior Art Direction skills with proven experience with Adobe Creative Suite (i.e. InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop.), and PowerPoint 
  • Able to concept and brainstorm with creative associates and collaborate 
  • Video/broadcast experience especially within concepting and storyboarding 
  • Relevant experience within virtual and live B2B brand experiences and live events 
  • Client-facing confidence and able to present/pitch your work 

Able to guide and direct junior creative team members 

Excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills 

Must possess excellent time management skills and have a sense of urgency; proven ability to work on multiple projects at any given time
