Associate Creative Director - Copy

Boston, Massachusetts, United States

We believe in experience brands

At Jack, we’re driven by the fact that the world’s most successful brands deliver proof on their brand promise at every touchpoint. Promise + Proof = Experience Brand

With 82 years in the industry and counting, we’ve learned that happy humans are the world’s best advertisers. And great brands aren’t B2C or B2B – they’re B2E (brand to everyone).

We’re best known for innovative brand experiences, big brand acts and Emmy-award winning broadcast and set design. Working alongside some of the best brands in the world, we seek to reimagine what a brand experience can be. It’s what inspired our tagline, “Be extraordinary.” And it’s what gets us out of bed every day.

We believe in you too

What we do is hard, so we take care of each other. We take our work seriously, but not ourselves. We demystify smart and speak like humans (no jargon, please). We embrace our delightful diversity and get joy out of seeing our impact on people. Most of all, we believe in each other and love growing our Jack family.

That brings us to you.

You are an Associate Creative Director (ACD), with a background in Copy.  As an ACD - Copy, you’ll be accountable for both generating and executing bold creative ideas rooted in the overall strategy and helping direct how those ideas come to life.

What you’ll be doing

  • Generate big creative ideas that grow business, meet client needs, and win awards
  • Help direct and execute the expression of those ideas across all experience media including brand acts and integrated campaigns
  • Present your ideas in a compelling way to internal audiences and clients
  • Work with the production team to ensure your ideas are as powerful in reality as they were when pitched
  • Collaborate effectively with the cross-functional team including your partners in strategy, account management, production, and resourcing
  • Review briefs, schedules, and resourcing to ensure the project and team are set for success
  • Take ownership of the creative product that leaves the office, continually critiquing the quality of all creative output and serve as brand steward for your accounts
  • Lead by example to help develop and inspire junior talent
  • Manage junior level creatives including training and development, workflow and performance management, and the development of a diverse, equitable, inclusive, and innovative work environment that promotes creativity and innovation
  • Participate in key new business pitches and in building award-winning case studies

If you can do all that, you have what it takes. It might help if…

  • 7+ years of overall creative experience
  • BA in writing or related discipline preferred
  • A strong creative background with a track record of delivering effective and outstanding creative work with a background in copywriting
  • Ample hands-on work experience (you are a “do-er” – a writer) coupled with some management experience (you can lead a team)
  • Engaging presentation skills and a track record of successfully selling and executing strategic creative ideas
  • Superior writing skills with proven experience with message development and storytelling for different mediums (i.e. digital, paid media, print, broadcast, etc.)
  • An unmatched passion and energy for your craft, Jack Morton, and brand experience
  • Most importantly—you take the work seriously, but not yourself

Last but not least, we believe in diversity, equity and inclusion.
