Building ESPN a home for football
On their 35th anniversary as a network, ESPN wanted to debut a new NFL studio dedicated entirely to football. We decided to go big with a floor plan that allowed for a very expansive feel while having enough room to shoot five unique areas with about dozen stand-up scenarios.
The state-of-the-art, 9,000-square-foot studio is a dynamic collision between reclaimed wood columns, industrial I-beams, color-changing light boxes, automated LED screens and rear-lit graphics. Two balconies offer dynamic perspectives of the industrial space while sculptural staircases explode each of the NFL’s team logos.
In the end, we gave ESPN a whole new way to broadcast football to their audience.
