Foosball Viral Campaign
With the eyes of the world on the 2010 FIFA World Cup, Nokia wanted to generate awareness of the N8 smartphone and tap into fan fever and passion. Building on Nokia's promise--“it's not the technology, it's what you do with it”--our moving image team used the N8 to film a spectacular see-it-to-believe-it foosball match. That really grabbed consumers' attention and showed them what you can do with the N8. We then built in the all-important social media “share factor” with a making-of film that spawned an immediate debate and demanded to be spread online.
Released during World Cup opening week, it became the #1 viral video in the UK, garnering millions of views and several awards including a Silver Telly.
