Jack Morton New York and IPG will volunteer for New York Cares Day Fall

Last spring, Jack Morton New York volunteered to help revitalize a school in Queens (above) and will do so again this fall.

At Jack Morton, we know we have a responsibility that goes far beyond our needs and our clients’ needs. We’re committed to making a positive difference in the world in which we live and work. We’re committed to doing the right thing. It’s not our corporate policy, it’s just who we are.

In that spirit, the Jack Morton New York office is teaming up with IPG to support New York Cares Day for Schools.

Making a difference

On October 22, Jack Morton New York will head to The Alfred Zimberg School, P.S. 2 in Queens, NY, to help revitalize the school. Our volunteers will paint the school logo on the front entrance and the playground, organize book rooms, and plant bulbs outside. P.S. 2 Q has faced the challenge of completing these projects due to a lack of funding. The work we do will help foster a positive and exciting learning environment where all the students can thrive.

On top of the physical transformation that Jack will help with, we’re also making a difference by donating a charitable contribution on behalf of all team members so that New York Cares can continue to make a difference.

A continued effort

This year is the 25^th anniversary of the New York Cares Day program, and the third time in as many years that Jack will be participating. Other outings included restoring The Rockwood Park School, P.S. 207 Q, a year after it was struck by Hurricane Sandy (below), as well as rehabilitating Weeping Beech Park this past spring (above).

The popular neighborhood park was named after the 60-foot tall weeping beech tree planted there in 1847. Once one of only two living landmarks in the city, the magnificent tree was the original source for all the weeping beeches in the United States.

Extraordinary causes

On October 29^th, a team from the New York office will also be participating in the 2016 Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, the Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.
